Wow Laura, this is horrible. There must be a reason for this to be a constant problem and I'd think it would be fixable? I'm serious, is there not a ENT specialist that can do an MRI and find the cause and then perform surgery to fix it? I'm sure you've probably been through every possible diagnostic test but I thought I'd at least ask if you've recently had an MRI. If not, things do change over the years and become more viewable as we get older (I don't mean that you are getting older, just me).

Thanks for the suggestions. I had a nasal x-ray a few years back and have also had an MRI this past year...both of which revealed nothing untoward (other than the current infection).

I am inclined to believe that it has to do with the relatively high level of dust in our neighborhood due to constant construction. I'm keeping track of things...and this has been my worst sinus year since we had a cat.

If I get another one this year, I'll head to the ENT. As it is, this one's turned out to be fairly mild (or so it seems).
