My Traditional Medicinals teabag tag (wow, that's a mouthful!) has a quote on it.  "Your choices will change the world."

I agree with the fundamental principle that our choices can shape the world we live in.  Sometimes it's the World and sometimes it's just "our" world.  Which leads to the Sunday question:

What choices have you made that changed the world?

The World. That's mighty. Not sure I've changed the world, but I chose to bring three children into it, among them you, Laura. You change the world every day. My greatest capacity, I believe, is in loving, and if love and the producing of intelligent, caring adults counts as changing the world, then I have done so. As the Shaker hymn says, "It's a gift to be simple." We can't all be rocket scientists or president, but each of us changes the world.

This is why I volunteer in our local schools, to change the world. The 'rub' is that I'll probably never know if I've really had any impact.

Holy Crap! How have I changed the world? The list is so damn long! :)

Seriously, I have no idea if I've done a freakin' thing that's changed the world. But I do know that my passion is helping people overcome their fears. I hope that as the days pass, as long as I'm here, I'm helping change the world that way.

Mom #1,

It's entirely human to see children as legacy, as agents of change in the world.

I would state your gift differently...I think you have a tremendous empathy and compassion for those who are in need, who are somehow wounded. That's love, but it's a specific kind of love.

Wounded healer.

Hal,

I see each of those kids as a pebble in the pond. You'll never know how you changed the world by changing their lives...but you can be sure you have.

Erik,

Interesting response! I would bet you changed the world as a teacher of communication in community colleges.

I would say you've changed the world by helping people think more clearly about who they are and how they see the world.

And your fear work...that's really going to change some worlds.

Who knows where the tipping point is with all these world changers hooked up?
