A light question today.  I'm updating my ipod in preparation for being in the hospital.  If you were doing the same, what music would you upload for a seven day hospital sojourn?

(Or, if you prefer, if you were stranded on the proverbial desert isle?)

Well, since I don't have an iPod...
I'd take tapes of all the Beethoven piano sonatas, a symphony or two by Mahler, and some Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff.
But that's me.

Forgot (sorry for the misfire) Bach's unaccompanied cello suites recorded by Yo-Yo Ma.

I'd get the biggest Ipod in existence and bring ALL my music. Yellow Boy here has NO idea what will move him from hour to hour... so I'd better have it all. :) I need Enya AND Boston!

I think there's a list above for Mom #1 for Christmas. No more tapes.

Laura,

Don't know if you like CLASSIC jazz, but if you do, hie thyself off and find a copy of a two-CD set, called "Duke Ellington: Live at the Blue Note." Recorded live over several nights at the Blue Note Cafe jazz club in Chicago. Billy Strayhorn, Duke, etc., etc., etc. Some of the best jazz you will EVER hear.

Heroine by Velvet Underground. I can't get stuck with a needle without singing that song. I'm a little demented. I hope your procedure when well. If you are like me you are still a little under the weather. But, I think your tougher than me so you are probably out riding a bike or something. Wishing you the best.
